Hey Shorty,
I see from your last post that your Mom does some
traveling. Does she ever take you with her? If so, what does she do if you
need to stay in a hotel?
Signed,
Don’t leave me behind
Dear Don’t leave me behind,
Most of the time I do not accompany Mom on her trips.
If I would have to stay in the hotel room all day then there is no point in
her bringing me along. If she’s going somewhere dog fun and friendly
though, I do get to go. Today there are more and more pet friendly hotels,
motels, B&B’s and campgrounds. Some even offer pet perks like dog walking
and pet room service menus.
Most travel sites where you can book hotels will list
if they are pet friendly; however Mom always gets a written confirmation of
the details of the hotel’s pet policy. There are web sites that list and
sometimes include comments on pet friendly accommodations, but you can’t
depend on those since policies can change.
You’ll need to get specifics like if they require a
security deposit or charge a non refundable fee. If there is more than one
pet make sure they allow more than one pet per room. Frequently you’ll see
that they allow small dogs, in that case you’ll need to know how big a small
dog is. Before you go you may want to check out
